Background
Professional journey & core values
I earned my art degree late in life as a second career. Which was a godsend with all it ups and downs. My graphic art career began my senior year of college when I won a paid internship with Darkhorse Comics has a Colorist working on Licenses for (Star Wars, Godzilla, Speed Racer, The Mask, Ghost and more ). This internship, lead to another very fortunate opportunity working with St. Martins Press, author (NY,NY), Maggie Stuckey as her sole Illustrator for two books: The Complete Book of Spices (re-lease in 1998 after selling over 1 million copies world wide) and Gardening from the Ground Up. I was then given other wonderful opportunity through the publisher St. Martins Press to work with an additional author in San Francisco, CA on a book called, It's a Wrap.
Life throws us ups and downs, but faith in God aways leads the way whether we realize it or not. Through this life school journey my heart has come home to God.
So, my latest Illustration work (Doodle Art Poster JOY) is now a reflection of his love and compassion in my life. My core value and hope is that my art will bring you joy for a moment in your own life.
